Audi S4, A6, A8, Allroad 2.7t fuel trim faults, boost leaks, poor mileage, poor driveability
Просмотров 47 тыс.8 лет назад
If your 2.7t is not hitting proper boost levels, transmission is shifting improperly, you're getting rich or lean fuel trim faults, maf failures, oil leaks, or really have almost any check engine light for emissions or failed sensors or catalytic converters the breather system is likely the culprit. This is how you check it and what to replace. Applicable to all 2.7 turbo engines in the S4, A6,...

Dub Autowerks German Car Video Blog: Fixing Thrott
How you doing? I have a 2005 mercedes ml350 w163 , my problem is the P0410 secondary injection pump circuit malfunction, the pump runs or blow air with wires from the battery , the electrical connector has ground . My problem is there's no continuity from the pump electrical connector to the 40 amp fuse , my next test was jumping pin 30 and 87 the pump does not run , pin 30 has over 12 volts pin 87 has No voltage when jump or trigger. Thanks
Spectacular video. Thanks alot.
Great explanation, Thank you.
How Do you test the valves that do not have a vacuum line out?
Why THEY USE?!!!!!??? PLASTIC TUBES COVERS PLASTIC?! WHY NOT USE... ALUMINUM IS BETTER ALUMINUM WITH HEAT COVER PAINT.... CAR WILL LAST LONGER
As all the other comments this is a great explanation of a very confusing and complex system, much better than other explanations, I have made an entirely new spider assy from heat rated silicone hose and reused the factory quick connects, my particular 2.7 was the 230HP model which still had the F hose so i deleted that, I also replaced the one green check valve on top of the intake as that was damaged, still have a massive issue in that the car runs fine, but its way to rich especially at idle, so im guessing vac leak, i have replaced various oe hoses on the system that looked bad but i cannot now find another leak, its very hard to see much of the vac system on this car as its so cramped. Now I have those values you mentioned for the MAF I will at least be able to check them as I fear my MAF may now be reading incorrectly but i also fear this is still down to a leak somewhere, I even did a smoke test and found nothing. DV Valves were also replaced for good oem plastic ones already
Did you find the problem, I have the same issues as you?
@@bkingtz1 torn throttle body boot was hard to spot until I did proper pressure test
@@adv-nomad Thanks a lot for the reply (after all these years heh). I'm really having a problem with mine, misfires, usually codes of too rich mixture, and sometimes to lean, and he is gulping gas like crazy, I think I am just pouring a liquid gasoline from the exhaust 😂
Another thing, u can find these pumps on any junkyard with VWs. I bought one very good per 20 dollars
Fantastic.. Thank. ❤
what is the part number for the RS6 DV?
I have the famous P2432, I replaced the sensor on the line coming from the Secondary Air pump My pump runs 100% I get code on VCDS P2432- 002 Short to Ground Secondary Air Inj. Sys. Flow/Pressure Sens Bank 1 I have 4.2l FSI V8 I am assuming it’s the bank 1 sensor - the left sensor of the 2 sensors next to each other with small Vacuum lines from Kombi Valves I appreciate you guys for helping out
Wow! Out of the weeks worth of forum searches and still being sooo un-informed, in 20min you gave me a wealth of knowledge about the 2.7T! Thank you very much! Soooo much good info! Idk shit about these cars yet but having this issue.... some sorta over pressurizing, misfire, detonating like behavior above 4k rpm after K04, clutch and gaskets install! So this should help me I hope! 🙏
My engine is running fine, but I do have the check engine light on for this reason. I am going on a long road trip, will I be affected?
Where can I buy the hoses I have this problem on a 2.5 Rabbit I'm having a hard time finding the hoses please help
eBay
I have a Question,, it's ok if I changed dual mass flywheel to my grand starex 2011 model to single mass flywheel?
Where can find info on bad rough idle on A4 B5 1.6 ADP motor 1995?
I had to fix my SAI system (2001 VW Passat wagon, 1.8T) to pass California smog. Replacing the somewhat carbon-clogged combi valve eliminated the check engine light, but the readiness monitor never cleared to 0 (ready). On cold start, I found no vacuum at the combi valve vacuum control inlet hose, but vacuum at the "F-hose," which pretty much pinpointed the SAI control solenoid valve under the intake manifold. I replaced it, and the discolored and stiff silicone vacuum hose connect the two, drove a 10-mile loop with a couple of decelerations from 45 mph and 3 restarts, and I was ready for my smog test. :)
Thank you for explaining your process on how you fixed the infamous SAI system on VW/Audi platform. I also have AWM engine code 2001 Audi A4 1.8T and lived with the infamous P0420 SAI system fault for 13 years. I never studied the SAI system because in NJ you are allowed to have one readiness monitor not complete and NO check engine light. I had a general idea that the n249 valve (SAI control solenoid under the intake manifold was the culprit since mine are original to my knowledge, I am ready to tackle and finally fix it for good.
@@JerZeyFiveOh Easy test of that control solenoid valve: disconnect the hose to the control port of the combi valve, put your thumb over the end of the hose, do a cold start, and check for vacuum. No vacuum (my case) --> leaky vacuum valve portion of the solenoid control valve.
@@johne6081 I will definitely do a test! Thank you for the tips.
talk a little loud! so we can hear you.
Video is awesome. The system is absolutely stupid
Щ
Great videos!
Good video. I have worked these issues and offer these insights 1: If the heater gets cooler at idle than at high speed, then the heater core is partially clogged and needs to be cleaned as in this video 2: Reverse the in and out hoses for a few weeks. This will cause a backwash effect thus dislodging particles. 3: Sometimes the purge hole has to be used 2-3 times to get all the air out. 4: If you fill the overflow tank too much, it will / may spill over when the engine gets hot thru the spill over tube at the bottom and onto the engine - thus creating that sweet smell of anti-freeze. Get 24" of 1/2" ID hose and hook it to the bottom of the tank and let any overflow go thru that. 5: Make sure the heater core tubes are perfectly round and not mis-shaped otherwise you will not get a good hose connection and then get leaks of air and water - not good. 6: Sometimes a blast of compressed air into the heater core will blow out particles faster than water.
Dual mass type fly wheel is very expensive. Low cost, if we use the clutch disc with damper spring combine fly wheel single mass.
To bad I crashed my issue was in here when I pulled the motor lolz
throttle body opening, something i was looking for but couldn’t find anywhere else, thank you
Hello, is it good to put on my bmw e46 318D.116KS single mass flywheel?
Would you put this in a 01 TDI with ALH? I am using a Jetta TDI 1.9 ALH in a Vanagon Camper using a 4 speed with a LSD/Locker. Many say that the gas clutch wont hold and swear by the DMF setup. The word was that TDIs have a pulse, or vibration that can transmit more through a SMF setup. I dunno.. I'm new to the whole thing.. Thanks for the walk through! T
Same question here...except mine is an 01 New Beetle TDI with the ALH engine and the 5sp manual. I think my DMF is getting ready to fail...it only has 312,000 ,miles on it!
do the 2.7 c5 6mt sedans have the same exact engine code? APB?
Depends of the year. After from 2003 is BEL , APB has ignition coils square with bolts. BEL has 2.0 style
Good day, Great video, I'm converting my DMF to a single mass on a Ssangyong Korando 2011 Diesel SUV 2.0 e-XDi - must I change the clutch plate to one with springs or leave the clutch also solid?
You still do tuning?
Whats the diameter of the hoses
😤 and I swapped my Jeep Grand Cherokee for a Audi..and now I got this problem😡. Stick to American.
Just saved my damn life bro... my 06 allroad quattro just started having Boost problems and I know my Spider and F-hose assembly are brittle. New valves and tubes and give her a good cleaning too. TLC
Finally, a no-nonsense vid on this.
Hi, please can you help me solve this problem. i scan my 2.5 vw jetta mk5 with vcds scan tool. i had this error code: 005170 - Secondary Air Injection Solenoid Valve (N112) P1432 - 004 - Open Circuit. what could be the problem and how to solve it. thanks

Gut gemacht 🌹..
What check valve is that at 1:30 ?Near the fuel pressure regulator.
Can we spray carbucleaner thru the kombi valve and selenoid (Of course, first disconnecting the houses and harness) without unmounting?
Thanks for the great video. I have a 2003 Eurovan 2.8L 24V VR6. First start everyday (or after sitting several hours) regardless of outside air temp the Idle runs bumpy for about 90 seconds at 1300 rpm. Then it settles in at 800 rpm and runs great. Guessing the bumpy idle has something to do with the secondary air system. Any ideas what would cause this and anything I should worry about damaging letting it run rough? If I immediately turn engine off and then back on after first start it runs smooth without the 90 second bumpy idle. No error codes being thrown.
That is very normal for a cold start, it happens in every vehicle I've driven in at least, again regardless of outside temperature. Essentially you don't have anything to worry about
thank you very much for your awesome video brother and for teaching us how to save money with your highly appreciated procedures best video on RUclips.
What year of vehicles does this apply to, exactly?
Great description!
Great information, thanks
thanks great video
Can you send pics of how you mounted the motor? Thank you sir. Csisaltkake@comcast.net
Are you able to close the top of the trunk??
Just found this great vid. I am planning on adding an oil catch can to help alleviate these problems in the future.
Damn, how did I not find this channel way earlier than now... how many times I searched issues with the 2.7t... never saw any of your vids. No idea why you popped up right away.... very informative and this is the only vid of watched so far. It was from a while ago, but someone’s always going to need help!! Thank you much my man. This is going to be super helpful. I appreciate your time and effort (almost a decade ago) so thank you.
yea, there is no way this is working on my Audi A4 3.0. Silinoid, vacume lines, not even gonna try and fix thsi
I need help on this
